My Story
Thank you for visiting my website and reading my story. I have been a Scentsy Consultant for 14 years and to sum it up, it has changed my family's life and future!
Fourteen years ago, we were dead broke and deeply in debt and didn't see any financial hope for our future. My husband, was self-employed, mostly installing sub-floor here and there for a few builders. I was working 12-hour night shifts at a small hospital as an RN on a busy Med-Surg floor. We had 2 young boys, 5 & 7, and I was missing out on so much with my crazy schedule and working so many weekends - school camp-outs, field trips, not to mention how hard it was to function flipping my sleep schedule back and forth from day to night. We were deeply in debt and I used to pray over my 15-year-old washing machine, as I didn't know where we would get the money for a new one if it broke.
Then I found Scentsy! My Mom signed up January 2005, and I agreed to take some samples to work to show my friends - and ended up with $500 of orders. That's when I realized it was something my friends loved and that I really could do! It has never felt like "selling." It's just sharing what you like! I signed up March 2005 and the light of financial hope started to grow. It has taken time, some hard work, and faith; but the joys and rewards FAR out-weigh any hard spots along the way.
And now, 14 years later, my life is on the right track in so many ways. I was able to leave my nursing career in August 2009. Since I'm no longer absent for days at a time, I am much closer to my boys and I get to participate in their activities. And yes, that washer DID give up the ghost in 2008 - and we had the cash to buy a new front-loader! I've been on some incredible trips, and the past few years have been able to travel with my now adult sons, building life long memories - including Mexico, a Mediterenean Cruise and Africa!
But really, beyond the material rewards that do diminish the stress, no price can be placed on the friendships that I've made with so many incredible people that I never would have known except from my Scentsy Business. Bottom line, Scentsy is a people business and I love that I get to spend my day helping and encouraging my team and sharing a product and opportunity that I love. I could not be more blessed!
I share my story, not in any way to make me sound great, but rather to let you know that YOU can do anything that I have done - and you can do it even faster and better. It's just a matter of time, and as long as you keep working and don't quit, YOU WILL WIN!!
